Irish designer, curator and art dealer Claire McGovern
has been investigating the world of art and design for
over a decade. With a BA and a Masters in Art History and Administration,
McGovern relocated from Dublin, Ireland to San Francisco in 1997. Following an
initial tenure as interior designer, gallery director and art advisor,
she single-handedly launched and operated a critically
acclaimed art and design house in 2002. With a schedule of over twenty
exhibitions since inception, a unique stable of avant garde artists and designers was
cultivated and promoted in a space that embraced "total design". The company
participates annually in a leading international art fair and services an international
art and interior design clientele. McGovern Design House also consults with Irish brands
seeking to launch new products in the American marketplace.
