Designer and curator Claire McGovern has over twelve years of professional experience in art and design consulting and draws upon a keen European and Californian design sensibility.
McGovern relocated from Dublin, Ireland to San Francisco in 1997. Following an
initial career path as interior designer and art advisor,
she launched and operated a critically
acclaimed art and design house in 2002. A unique stable of avant garde artists and designers was cultivated and promoted in a space that embraced "total design". The company today services an international art and interior design clientele with offices in New York City.
McGovern Design House has completed design projects ranging from San Francisco Victorians, Silicon Valley residences to Manhattan offices, brownstones, bars and restaurants. Recent art advisory projects have included art programs and installations for Lexus, Waterkeeper Foundation and the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.
